We are counting down the days here at VIP Towers until this year’s Platinum VIP Style Awards.

We’re working hard to make sure that everything is perfect on the day. And, of course, we’re making sure that we are all ready to go with perfect style, hair and skincare.

Here’s what Team VIP is loving this week…

Staff writer Anja is loving… SilverWorks Dublin

On Thursday night I was invited to attend the 5th birthday party of SilverWorks Dublin and what a night it was. For those who are unfamiliar with their work, SilverWorks are a group of experienced Jewellers who teach fun, interactive classes and courses, with the end result being a beautiful piece of jewellery crafted by yourself. Mad right?

During the evening of celebration, we were encouraged to try out some of their classes, such as forging our own silver ring, carving a ring from wax and personalising our very own pendant. We even got to design and make a fine silver charm all from metal clay. As these were only taster workshops, you can rest assured I’ll be booking myself back in for a full class to really experience the brilliance that is SilverWorks.

Perfect for a date night, anniversary, catching up with friends or family and even flying solo, you can check out their full list of classes here.

Weekend Editor Sláine is loving…Ted Lasso

I am well aware that I am very late to the bandwagon, but I’ve finally watched Ted Lasso.
It’s been a hit…pretty much since day one, but despite the praise, I never tuned in. In fairness, it takes a lot to convince me to watch something about soccer (Bend It Like Beckham being the only exception) but Ted Lasso has impressed me.

The show follows an American football coach who moves to England to coach a Premiere League soccer team, despite knowing nothing about the sport. So far season one has impressed me, and I’m definitely continuing on with the series.

However, I still refuse to watch an actual match…there are limits to how much sporting content I will consume.

Digital Editor Bronwyn is loving…The Confidence Room

I hate trying on jeans. The idea makes my blood run cold. Let me set the scene, you’ve hiked through the shop to find a pair of jeans you like and may possibly fit you (waist and leg size has befuddled your brain). You get into the changing room, your face is bright red, the fluorescent lights make your reflection look like a stranger. Finally, you pull on the jeans just to find that they won’t make it past your hips.

So when I heard that Salsa Jeans had a new pop-up location aptly named The Confidence Room, I was, well sceptical. Could anything make trying on jeans enjoyable?

Well, let me tell you now I am a convert. I was helped to pick out two pairs of jeans that I liked, they helped me find my size and then I headed into the spacious changing room that did not feature a light so bright I thought I was being abducted by aliens. Soft lighting only. You try on the jeans without looking in the mirror instead it’s all about how you feel.

And I loved my jeans! I loved how I felt in them and I loved how comfortable they are.

The Confidence Room is located at 32 Exchequer Street in Dublin City Centre and is available for 30-minute bookings to make you feel comfortable and confident in your jeans. The space is open until June 28th.

But if you want to get your hands on Salsa Jeans they are available in over 60 stockists across Ireland including Brown Thomas, Arnotts, Avoca and Pamela Scott. You can book your slot here.
