We all remember how Matt Damon famously spent the first coronavirus lockdown in Ireland, as at the time, he ended up being stuck in Ireland when the filming for an upcoming movie was shut down.

Now, the trailer for the film, The Last Duel, has been released.

The film, which also stars Jodie Comer, Adam Driver and Ben Affleck, is set for release in October of this year.

Set in 14th-century France, it stells the story of best friends Jean de Carrouges (Matt Damon) and Jacques Le Gris (Adam Driver) who are ordered to fight to the death after Carrouges accuses Le Gris of raping his wife Marguerite (Jodie Comer).

Check out the trailer below.

This comes after Matt recently revealed that he is planning to take his family back to Ireland.

According to the Irish Times, Matt said that he “struck a deal” with his family that as soon as he finishes filming Thor: Love and Thunder in Australia they will be heading back to Ireland.

“One of my daughters said to me just the other day, just out of the blue, she goes, “you know, I could live in Ireland,” he said.

We can’t wait to see them!
