The Rubberbandits aren’t impressed with the RTE Guide today, after they completely messed up details about their upcoming show.

The Limerick natives made a documentary about the 1916 Easter Rising, however the RTE Guide made it out to be something totally different.

In the words of the Rubberbandits themselves, the tv guide “invented a show that doesn’t exist.”

The RTE Guide named their show, The Rubberbandits Guide to 2016, and wrote, “The comedy hip-hop duo from Limerick give their take on what to look forward to.”

The Limerick funnymen took to social media to slam the publication, saying, “Fair play to the RTE Guide who not only got the name of our documentary wrong, but also invented a show that doesn’t exist in the process.

“Our show is a guide to 1916, it’s a documentary about a load of legends who died for their country 100 years ago.

“It took us six months to make it.”

The show will air on New Years Eve at 11pm on RTE2.
