The Cranberries star Dolores O’Riordan will be sentenced next month for an alleged air rage incident, which apparently saw her head-butting and spitting on a Garda.
The musician last month pleaded guilty to four offences – including assault and obstructing a Garda – during the incident following an Aer Lingus flight from New York’s JFK airport.
She was arrested at Shannon Airport in Ireland on November 10 2014 after the disturbance on the transatlantic flight.
Dolores, who has since been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, told officers that she was an icon and the Queen of Limerick following her arrest.
RTE Ten reports today that Judge Patrick Durcan told Ennis District Court that “the court’s judgement is ready” and sentence will be handed down on February 24.
The 44-year-old was not in court after being excused by the judge at the previous hearing in December.
The judge also ordered her to write letters of apology to all those affected in the incident while he considered sentencing.
