It was a shock when Suzanne Jackson stumbled up during the third week of Dancing with the Stars.

She is a self-confessed perfectionist, so she took the mistake very hard.

However, both Suzanne and her professional partner Michael Danilczuk have shared that they are moving on and focusing on this Sunday.

Suzanne spoke out about the dance just hours after the live show.

She then shared a video of the pair training ahead of their intense jive that saw them score only 15 points.

“Week 3: JIVE (or what should have been),” Suzanne wrote.

“We won’t talk about it anymore (you can catch more on my stories from this morning) but the work was definitely put into this dance. Such a pity it didn’t pay off in the end, but we dust ourselves off and get back on the horse.

“Failures & mistakes are important in life, so we learn how to cope with them, and not get crushed by them! Always a lesson in everything, as hard as it might to think like at the time. Onwards & upwards.“

She has plenty to look forward to this week anyway as it is in fact movie week.

“Movie week on Sunday, so see you on the dance floor. Thanks for all the support.“

Just a handful of days later, Michael shared a similar message saying that they were focusing on the future rather than the past.

“It may not have gone to plan on the night but @sosueme_ie I’m lucky enough to spend time with you in training and have seen you work so hard to perfect each and every step,“ Michael explained.

“Every day in rehearsals you overcome your fears and step out of your comfort zone and it’s been amazing to see you grow in confidence. The courage and determination you bring to this journey is inspiring and I’m honoured to have you as my dance partner.

“It’s not easy learning something new and then performing it live on TV so I wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone for all your lovely messages and for supporting our journey. We are so grateful to be through to week 4.“

He went on to say that they are keeping their heads down and focusing on smashing it on Sunday.

“This week is a new chapter and a new dance to learn. We will need our serious faces on for this style of dance and it’s all about the character as we take on movie week.“

Dancing with the Stars continues on RTÉ One on Sunday at 6:30pm
