Stephanie Davis has opened up about the possibility having to have a C-section instead of the natural birth she originally planned.
The former Hollyoaks actress had a whirlwind romance with Irish lothario Jeremy McConnell after they appeared on Celebrity Big Brother together last year. Stephanie fell pregnant shortly after the romance ended and Jeremy has insisted he is not the father of the baby despite opposing claims from the brunette beauty.
Throughout her pregnancy, the reality star has said she wants to give birth naturally and in her weekly blog with OK! magazine she revealed she wants to avoid having a C-section so that she can be as active as possible post-pregnancy.
“Having a C-section is something I dread because I want to be straight up and active with my baby when he gets here and I know there’s a long recovery period after the operation.” She wrote.
“Picking the baby up and stuff will be a struggle so I’m hoping for a natural birth as much as possible. I’m really into the idea of a water birth actually because it looks so relaxing but I know you can’t have an epidural.”
The 23-year-old went on to say that she’s hopeful she’ll be able to give birth naturally and plans to hold out on availing of pain relief for as long as possible.
“I think I’m going to be okay though, I’m going to get as far as I can before plan b which is taking whatever pain relief they can give me!” she wrote.
