Sinéad O’Connor’s daughter Róisín Waters paid a beautiful tribute to her mother at a ceremony that honoured Sinéad and Shane MacGowan.
Both iconic Irish singers passed away last year.
Roisín showcased her powerful vocals when she performed a cover of Nothing Compares 2 U at New York’s Carnegie Hall.
Sinéad shared Róisín with John Waters, with Róisín being raised by her father in Ireland.
She took to the stage in New York in a floral dress and barefoot to perform the powerful song that put her mother on the stage internationally.
In the clip, which was recorded by one of the audience members, those in attendance burst into applause and appear to give Róisín a standing ovation.
The concert raised $70,000 for non-profit PEN America, which is a non-profit organization whose goal is to raise awareness for the protection of free expression in the United States and worldwide through the advancement of literature and human rights.
The event saw different artists pay tribute to both Sinéad and Shane.
