Singer Sinead O’Connor opened up about being in excruciating pain and begged for medical help in a desperate Facebook post yesterday.
The musician revealed on her profile that she is in serious need of a gynaecologist to carry out a hysterectomy and posted to say she’s in “a really bad way”.
Opening up to her half a million followers, the 48-year-old explained she has been suffering from endometriosis for the past three years, which is a painful disorder affecting the uterus.
The Nothing Compares 2 U hitmaker wrote: “Sorry… I realise this is highly inappropriate but I need to get a hysterectomy extremely urgently.
“Being August, all the gyanae’s I know are out of town. Does anyone know…or is anyone…a gynae who could do this very soon?”
She added: “Am in rather too much agony to manage until next month.”
The pleading post comes after Sinead cancelled her summer tour dates last month as ‘she’s suffering from exhaustion’ as a result of an ongoing, unresolved medical problem.
A statement released in July read: “Sinéad O’Connor apologises profusely to her fans but she cannot travel this summer anymore.
“She is suffering from exhaustion due to an existing not resolved medical situation and she has been advised by the doctor to stop any activity and rest.
“Because of this she is completely unable to travel and to perform.”
