Sharon Horgan is writing a new movie for Reese Witherspoon’s production company, which she set up to create better acting roles for women.
The Irish writer and actress has seen huge success lately after getting rave reviews for her acting role in Channel 4 show, Catastrophe which she co-wrote with Rob Delaney, and receiving critical acclaim for her newly penned show, Divorce.
Now, the talented Meath native has revealed that she’s teaming up with Reese Witherspoon to write a script for a new movie but details of the film are being under wraps at the moment.
The Catastrophe star explained that Reese’s production company aims to find better roles for women in the movie industry.
“Reese set up her own production company specifically to create better roles for women because she was fed up with getting sent scripts where she was some funny guy’s girlfriend.” she told Red magazine.
The Legally Blonde actress took to Twitter to praise Sharon’s writing and acting a few months ago.
She wrote, “New obsession, #Catastrophe on @AmazonVideo — @SharonHorgan & @robdelaney made me laugh so loud on a plane, I was told to be quiet . . . twice.”
We can’t wait to see what movie these talented ladies produce!
