An American firm announced the news today that a Father Ted theme park will be coming to Inis Mor – what a time to be alive!
The Aran Island already hosts Tedfest and will now be setting up Funland over 50-acres of land on the south-east of Inis Mor. We wonder will there be a spider baby?
“Inis Mor has hosted the popular Tedfest since 2007 and that gave us the idea to create a theme park based on the show,” said Patrick Parkes Inc boss John Carpenter told the Irish Mirror.
The CEO also gave an insight into what kind of amusements will be on offer, and it’s been confirmed that the park will feature the Tunnel of Goats and a milk float circling a small roundabout.
Unfortunately, this was all an April Fool’s joke but we live in hope of it coming true! G’wan, g’wan, g’wan….
