
It’s a big day for daytime television as RTÉ’s much-loved show Today officially hits its 2,000th episode.
To mark the occasion, the show shared a nostalgic throwback on Instagram, giving fans a look back at some of its most memorable moments over the years.
Captioning the post, the team wrote: “@rtetoday over the years, as the show celebrates its 2000th episode today.”
Viewers were also encouraged to tune in to the special celebratory episode, which aired at 3:30pm on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player.

Unsurprisingly, the milestone sparked a wave of well wishes, with the comment section quickly filling up with messages from both fans and familiar faces.
“Happy anniversary – such a brilliant show – sure it’s no surprise,” wrote Niamh Kavanagh.

Presenter Maura Derrane also marked the moment on her Instagram story, celebrating the show’s continued success.
“We are celebrating our 2000th show, where did the years go?” she reflected.
