Roz Purcell has been refreshingly open throughout her journey with alopecia.

The former Miss Universe took to her Instagram on Monday to share an update with her followers.

During a Q&A segment on her stories she revealed she’s been working tirelessly trying to get rid of the most recent bald spot.

She previously opened up to her fans stating that stress is the root of the issue. Unfortunately this caused another flare-up in January.

She commented on the hair regrowth stating it had finally started to grow back but that it “always grows back white then turns back to brown”.

She noted that she’s started to take steroid injections in the patch to increase growth.

Continuing she said: “There’s a big dent in my head now but def growth is coming much faster than before.”

Roz revealed last month that she was seeing a hair growth specialist to help heal current and future flare ups.

“I got in with a specialist, Dr. Catriona Ryan who was recommended to me loads, waitlists are long I went on a cancellation list and got an appointment in like 6-7 weeks.”

Following her appointment, Roz had nothing but good things to say about Dr. Ryan.

She spoke very highly of her services and described her and her business as an “eleven out of ten”.

The Hike Life founder revealed the steroid injections were to help her hair regrowth.

She was given them in the most prominent hair loss spots on her scalp. The hope is for her hair to regrow in these patches in the coming months.
