Rosanna Davison has revealed that she fully supports the Repeal the Eight Campaign to change the law to make abortion legal in Ireland.
The top model doesn’t usually speak out about political issues, but she has recently revealed that she wholeheartedly believes in the campaign that’s calling for a referendum to repeal the eight Amendment to the Constitution of the Republic of Ireland.
“I absolutely support the campaign,” she told The Irish Mirror. “I tend to stay away from politics but I personally believe that women should have the choice over their body and their fertility.”
The former Miss Ireland continued to air her political views by saying that she’d love to give her opinion to the Irish government on how they could turn Ireland into a healthier nation.
“Hopefully (a sugar tax) would work,” she said. “I think there needs to be a wider approach where we educate parents and teachers who educate children.
“I’d love to see nutrition or nutritional biochemistry being taught as a mandatory subject in schools from a young age. I’d love to see nutrition or nutritional biochemistry being taught as a mandatory subject in schools from a young age.”
