Rosanna Davison became the fifth celebrity to leave Dancing with the Stars on Sunday night.

But for her, she knew that it was time to go.

However, she is filled with “gratitude” for her time on the show and admits that it was a “life-changing” experience.

“I started the competition with no experience. I thought I’d throw myself into it and take it day by day,” she told Jennifer Zamparelli.

“We were doing about 25 hours a week, Monday to Friday and then dress rehearsals on Saturday then it’s a 12 to 13 hour day on a Sunday. It’s a huge commitment. On top of the hours, I found it very hard to switch off.

“I’d wake up in the middle of the night thinking about the routine. It’s all-consuming. It takes over your life.”

She explained that she “hit a wall” last week ahead of Sunday night’s show.

“There were tears for the first time because the routine wasn’t clicking as quickly as I expected. I really felt the mental drain last week. I think I got a confidence knock by being in the first dance-off, there are different factors.

“The kids were really missing me, they were acting up a bit at school and asking, “Mommy why aren’t you here anymore?” There were things that lead to that point. I did feel last that I was coming to the end mentally of how far I could push myself.”

Rosanna is the proud mother to four-year-old Sophia and three-year-old twin boys, Hugo and Oscar.

While it was difficult she went on to say: “It was absolutely life-changing. I went in with very little confidence in my dance abilities. I went out there and danced for eight weeks on live TV.”

“I put in as much as I could. I’m so grateful to have gotten to week eight, to Orchestra Week, to me it was a huge achievement,” she added.

“I have no regrets, I’m glad that I did the show. I have nothing but gratitude.”
