The ‘Red Rock’ finale was shown to a select number of celebrities yesterday and if their reactions are anything to go by we are in for a treat this Thursday when the final show airs.
The hilarious reaction from the stars, which included Sean Bean, Louis Walsh, Lucy Kennedy Glenda Gilson, Caroline Morahan, Ian Dempsey and Mark Cagney, were recorded as they were shown a teaser clip of the upcoming finale.
Their reactions varied from ‘oh wow’ to ‘jeeeeeesuss’, with nearly every celeb jumping in their seat when the climax of the finale occurred.
Mark Cagney was so horrified he responded with “Do you know what age I am? You can’t be doing that to fellas of my age!”
We have a sneaking suspicion that the clip contained something graphic with responses like “I’m shaking” and Lucy Kennedy saying “Oh my God I feel sick!”
We too are in the dark as to what exactly is in store for us on Friday night but after seeing this clip we will definitely be glued to TV3 tomorrow at 8.30pm.
What we do know about the dramatic season finale is that Angela and Tommy Tyrell will receive a nasty shock after they decide to confront Connor about the recent staged robbery in their home.
Katie Kiely will also be taking centre stage in the finale as she prepares to travel to Manchester and go through with her plans for an abortion.
And although Patricia Hennessey has insisted that her son David makes sure that Katie gets her flight and terminates the pregnancy, Katie is stopped in her tracks when Bridget and Vincent arrive and make a final plea with her to keep the baby.
Executive Producer of Red Rock Gareth Philips had this to say about the finale: “I really don’t want to give anything away ahead of this Thursday but I can guarantee that we’re going to leave viewers right on the edge of their seats!”
And TV3 promise that when the second series returns on Wednesday September 2, there will be “even more twists and turns” that the first.
