One of the first guests on Ray D’Arcy’s new chat show has been revealed, and it’s none other than funnyman Tommy Tiernan.
Tommy will be one of Ray’s first ever guests on his new RTE Saturday night show, and the comedian was booked in the hopes that he’ll get the series off to a controversial start.
As the show will be live, producers are hoping that the outrageous Irish comedian will give the audience a real sense of excitement.
A source said: “This is sending out a clear message. The Ray D’Arcy show will be anything but predictable. Anything can happen.”
The comedian is known for making so-called ‘scandalous’ appearances on talk shows in the past which left him in a spot of bother – including one interview with the Late Late Show which left him waiting in studio for hours afterwards thanks to angry religious protestors.
The source added that Ray has rehearsed for his opening night with the likes of Mary Burke from Crystal Swing and comic Fred Cooke – and so far, so good.
“It went really well. Ray was in great form and he’s confident he and his team have a good show,” they told the Irish Sun.
Meanwhile, the tv presenter has been the subject of ridicule in the latest Gift Grub sketch – and it’s hilarious! Listen back to it here:
