We love a gig announcement here at VIP HQ, so you can imagine our excitement when we heard that Icelandic act Daði Freyr would be making a trip over waters to play on Irish shores.

The electronic and pop artist originally rose to fame with the hit song Think About Things, after he was chosen to represent his country in the 2020 Eurovision.

However, Daði Freyr never got to perform due to the Covid-19 pandemic putting a halt to the annual singest contest.

Luckily for us, Daði Freyr has decided to make his way to Dublin later this year for a show at Dublin’s 3Olympia Theatre on December 4th.

The headline tour will follow the release of his second album, I’m Making An Album.

Tickets are priced at €29.90 including booking fees and go on sale this Friday, May 12th at 9AM from Ticketmaster.

Fans will also be pleased to know that if they pre-ordering a physical copy of I’m Making An Album before Wednesday, May 10th from Freyr’s official store, they will be granted access to pre-sale tickets for I’m Doing a Tour Part 2.

Until then you can catch the pop act and his band at this year’s Eurovision final in Liverpool, where they will deliver a special performance.

So, what are you waiting for?
