PM VIP Style Awards 2020: Vote for Favourite Irish Designer

Here we go again! On Friday, April 24th at The Marker Hotel, Dublin, the Peter Mark VIP Style Awards 2020 will once more take place.

It’s the 19th year in a row we’ve held the awards, so, readers, you should know the drill by now! Pick your most stylish entry from each of the categories, and place your votes.

Last year, Lucy Nagle walked away with the title of Favourite Irish Designer and this year’s category promises to be as closely (and stylishly) fought as ever.

Who will go home with the most sought after awards on the night? You decide! Here are the nominees for Favourite Irish Designer:

Helen Cody

Helen is an accomplished Irish designer, specialising in limited edition and couture design, all made in Dublin. She has dressed Irish and international celebs at the Oscars and Cannes film festival and even designed Kathryn Thomas’ stunning wedding dress. Vote for Helen here!

Natalie B. Coleman

This Co. Monaghan native and fashion lecturer at the National College of Art & Design, studied fashion in Limerick and London, before setting up her own studio and launching her eponymous label. Her work is a balance of tradition and innovation. Vote for Natalie here!

Catriona Hanly

Studying fashion in both London and Dublin, Catriona Hanly’s pieces have not just made waves here, but in the UK and the US. Some of her big Irish fans include Vogue Williams, Anna Daly, Alison Canavan, Lorraine Keane and Celia Holman Lee. Vote for Catriona here!

Joanne Hynes

Joanne has a hugely successful collaboration with Dunnes Stores and it is no surprise really, with her unconventional approach to fashion. Each design is intended to stand out from the crowd and we love her use of colour and quirky prints. Vote for Joanne here!

Eamonn Mc Gill

Eamonn Mc Gill is the King of unique design and evening wear, having dressed six of the Style Award attendees last year. Six unique looks, six stunning designs. Each one tailored specifically to the women’s individual style. Most recently, Love Island’s Molly-Mae Hague wore one of his pieces to the National Television Awards. Vote for Eamonn here!

Aoife McNamara

This Limerick lady’s brand celebrates authenticity and sustainability. With the planet at the forefront of their minds when creating pieces, they strive to incorporate sustainability into each piece they create. The latest Irish celebrity to wear one of her pieces was Jennifer Zamparelli during DWTS. Vote for Aoife here!

Helen Steele

Artist and fashion designer, Helen is a firm favourite in this category. Helen’s artistic eye shows in her all of her work, where her use of colour and delicate fabrics make her pieces showstopping and always standout. Obsessed. Vote for Helen here!

Orlagh McCloskey & Henrietta Rix of Rixo

Two best friends (Orlagh comes from Dungiven, near Derry) with one vision is where the successful brand Rixo London began. With a passion for all things vintage, they strive to be inclusive, creating pieces to suit every woman regardless of age, size or nationality. Vote for Orlagh and Henrietta here!
