Look who’s back? Top Irish actor Colin Farrell jetted back into his native Dublin last night for the opening night of National Theatre’s multi award-winning production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time at The Bord Gais Theatre.
The True Detective star was joined by a host of Irish celebrities including Aoibhin Garrihy, Aoibhinn McGinnity, Pat Kennedy and Jenny Buckley for the glitzy red carpet event.
The play made its Irish debut as part of the Dublin Theatre Festival, where it will run until 10 October 2015.
Joshua Jenkins, who plays the central role of Christopher has an unusual co-star – a white rat called Toby. .
The show tells the story of Christopher Boone, who is fifteen years old. He has an extraordinary brain, and is exceptional at maths while ill-equipped to interpret everyday life. He has never ventured alone beyond the end of his road, he detests being touched and distrusts strangers. His detective work, forbidden by his father, takes him on a frightening journey that upturns his world.
