Fans of Thin Lizzy will get to enjoy a documentary surrounding the life of frontman, Phil Lynott, when it hits the big screen in the near future.

The movie will follow his personal and professional life, featuring interviews from his bandmate Eric Bell, U2’s Adam Clayton and Metallica’s James Hetfield.

Irish director, Emer Reynolds, is set to begin work on Phil Lynott: Songs For While I’m Away in the coming weeks, and can’t wait to get stuck into the project.

Speaking to ScreenDaily.com, she said, “Having been a huge Thin Lizzy fan throughout my life, it’s an incredible honour to be bringing this celebratory and intimate portrait of lead singer and songwriter Philip Lynott to the big screen.”

There’s no official release date for the project just yet, but we’ll be sure to keep you posted!
