One of our favourite couples haS made another appearance on our timeline…

In honour of Valentine’s day, Phoebe Bridgers shared a loved up snap with Paul Mescal to Instagram and we are loving it.

In the picture the pair are gazing into each other’s eyes as they cuddle, Phoebe kept the caption simple by crediting the photographer, “@scarrisonwhitford took this,” she wrote, but the picture says all we need to know.

Friends of the couple shared their love in the comments with Paul’s Normal People co-star Daisy Edgar-Jones and singer Gracie Abrams posting some loved up emojis.

Paul doesn’t have an Instagram so unfortunately we didn’t see a loved up post from him, but we’re sure they enjoyed a gorgeous day together in real life!

Speaking on the A24 podcast Paul explained why he chose to take a step back from the platform, “I’m definitely people pleasing. I came off social media last year in an attempt to put a bit of control around that.

“I have this innately in me but I don’t need to see what people think of me all the f**king time. It’s totally ego driven but also it’s an important part of being an actor. I don’t feel like we’re doing it for ourselves. Part of us is doing it because we love doing it but we’re making things for people to see and view and talk about.

“With that comes a dissection of you as a person and as an actor. Where those two things line up is the centre point of my anxiety. That is the ugly part of my brain.

“I feel like some people are able to navigate it so well. I just get f**king scared of it. I’m just like well, this one person thinks this of me therefore that person is a representative of 90 percent of the population, therefore I am hated.

“I know when you boil it down that’s not true but I feel like the loudest voice in the room is often the most negative,” he said.

Paul and Phoebe were first spotted here in Ireland in a cafe in Kinsale in 2020. However, earlier in 2021 the pair set many a tongue-wagging as they posted a loved-up snap to Instagram, confirming that they are indeed a couple.

Phoebe also spent Christmas with Paul’s family in Ireland in 2021, so these two are definitely serious!
