While he’s busy looking for love in the Love Island villa, Sean ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald hasn’t forgotten about the students he left behind in Dublin.
The 25-year-old Galway footballer, who also works as a primary school teacher, surprised his graduating sixth class by recording a special video message to mark their final day of primary school.
The sweet moment was shared on TikTok by the parent of one of Fitzy’s pupils, who filmed the class watching the heartfelt message before making the big step to secondary school.
Fitzy wished his students the very best for the future, with the thoughtful gesture earning plenty of praise online from viewers.

Before entering the villa, Sean had already built up a loyal following on TikTok thanks to his light-hearted videos about life as a teacher, regularly sharing funny classroom moments and relatable content.
His popularity has continued to soar since joining Love Island, with his social media following growing significantly as viewers have watched his romance with Lola Deal unfold on screen.
But it’s not just Fitzy’s current romance that Love Island viewers have been chatting about – but his past dalliances too.
When it was announced that the Galway man was heading into the villa, several gals came out of the woodwork to share that their “ex” was going on Love Island.
Multiple videos were posted across TikTok from many women dubbing Fitzy their “ex”, leading many to question just how many exes this man has seemingly got.
But if we use our heads, it becomes increasingly apparent that some of these people are greatly exaggerating their relationship to Sean, or maybe even making it up entirely. For numbers, of course.
Fitzy’s sister Katie has set the record straight confirming much of the same. She told iRadio: “The girls that are coming out are not his exes, they are not his actual ex-girlfriends.”
