We’re seriously excited for festival season this year as one of Ireland’s top bands, The Blizzards, will be making their comeback.
Following their split in 2009, the group reformed over the Christmas period, and are obviously ready to get back out there and start performing again, as they’ve been named as a headline act for Indiependence this summer.
In Decemeber, the band took to Twitter to share the news that they were getting back together, and said, “Delighted to say we are back in rehearsal room putting some new tunes together and having bit of craic.”
Despite focusing the majority of his time now as a judge on the Voice of Ireland, we’re sure Bressie’s only too happy to back on the rock scene and start performing live again.
Alongside The Blizzards, other acts announced for the festival include The Kooks, BELL X1, They Strypes and Hudson Taylor.
The festival takes place from July 29-31 in Deer Farm, Co Cork, with tickets being priced between €99 -€119.
