Erin McGregor has opened up about the nerves she feels when watching her brother Conor fight.
The Dubliner, who is one of the biggest names in UFC history, was involved in a highly intense comeback fight with Russian Khabib Nurmagomedov in Las Vegas last weekend – and his eldest sister has spoken out what it’s like watching Conor take to the Octagon.
“I don’t think it gets easier, but it’s like, we’re here, we’re here to support him,” Erin said of herself and her family.
“And you just want the best outcome for him, because he works so hard, and is such an amazing, generous person.”
“Watching someone following their dreams gives you so much hope. You just want the best for your family member,” the former Dancing With The Stars Ireland contestant told The Independent.
“For me, when I look at him I see a real person, like, he’s a tangible person, he’s not just someone on the screen. That gives me hope. He’s an amazing athlete. We believe in him 100pc.”
The Notorious has always had a huge backing from his family, as well as his partner Dee Devlin – who is pregnant with the pair’s second child.
Following the dramatic scenes at the T Mobile Stadium in Vegas on Saturday, Conor’s mother Margaret shared a tribute to her son on social media.
“Proud of u Conor next time. Be safe out there everyone on all sides remember it’s a sport. Great athletes angry fans.”
We can’t wait to see what’s next for the McGregor’s.
