Niall Horan has revealed that One Direction’s first ever gig was the “worst night of his life”
The Mullingar man is now a hugely succesful solo artist, but started out with his four 1D bandmates after being formed on the X Factor.
The Slow Hands singer has now revealed that despite their global success, it didn’t all come easily to the boy band when they first started out.
“I never want to talk about that gig again,” Niall told the BBC.
“Worst night of my life. The worst One Direction show ever.
“We’ve refused to talk about it ever since… It was a disaster. We were just a joke.
“Anything we rehearsed just went out the window. It was our first ever gig and we just didn’t know what was going on.”
The 24-year-old also spoke about his debut solo album Flickr, which is due for release on October 20th.
“It’s brilliant, especially with the type of music I’m doing,” he said.
“You feel like you’re in someone’s living room.
“With One Direction, we were doing five or six kilometres a night,
running around the stage like lunatics.
“There’s none of that now. I’ll probably put on a bit of weight,
standing still and playing guitar all the time!”
