It’s hard to believe that only eight years ago, the One Direction lads were just five nervous teens auditioning on the X Factor.
Fast forward to 2018 and the lads have gone on to work on solo projects with their hoards of fans praying for a reunion.
This month the hashtag 8YearsfOneDirection been trending on social media to celebrate the occasion.
Band member Niall Horan even got involved today reminiscing about his time with the band.
“#8YearsfOneDirection Wow!” he began.
“8 years of amazing memories with the lads. Thank you so much for standing by us for all this time.”
Louis Tomlinson and Harry Style also paid tribute to the band that made them.
Harry Style has not yet tweeted nor has Zayn Malik, who left the band in 2015.
The boys have all gone their separate ways, and all gone on to work on their own music, however they have often spoken about reuniting in the future.
