We always thought we knew how to use mascara.

While everything else has gotten pretty technical when it comes to makeup, lashing on mascara has always been straightforward!

However, if we want to get sky-high lashes it looks like we’re going to have to do a bit more than just coating on the mascara and hoping for the best.

Makeup artist Andreea Pletea sent the internet into meltdown when she posted a video of how she creates a flash eyelash look without the need for falsies.

Andreea has 272.7K followers on TikTok where she creates makeup hack tutorials and her mascara hack which has over 18 million views sees her use powder and concealer to create an elevated look.

Taking a doe foot concealer applicator she puts the very light concealer over her lashes before using a powder to set the concealer.

After that, she takes her mascara wand and puts on her mascara as usual.

To be fair the difference is massive, so it certainly works.

The concealer and powder essentially work as a lash primer, with the concealer giving the lashes pigment and the powder thickening them out. Putting that altogether helps make them look fuller and longer.

Will you be adding this hack to your makeup routine?
