What better way to spend the new year than with family?
Mary Kennedy chose to spend New Year’s Day surrounded by her loved ones as they headed out for a walk.
The former RTÉ presenter looked stylish in a long leopard print coat that looked perfect to ward off the cold.
And it looked fairly cold from the pictures that Mary shared on her Instagram.
She was joined by her family including her daughter Lucy Foster and her nephew Dermot Kennedy. Enjoying the brisk walk were her two grandchildren – three-year-old Paddy and two-year-old Holly.
The family also brought their gorgeous dog on the trek and they appeared to have the best time.
“New Years Day fun,” she wrote on her Instagram story.

Dermot shared some videos of himself heading out for walks in his native Dublin as the sun rose over the hills.
“These hills have been my ghostwriter/At my lowest, took my soul higher/Showed me how to be a poet/With the spirit of a prize fighter,” he captioned the Instagram post.
Mary previously spoke to VIP Magazine about her nephew Dermot, telling us: “Dermot is a very sound, laid-back person, he doesn’t have notions. He writes lovely words.”
“He started busking 10 years ago in Dublin and now he is very appreciative that people are coming to see him.”
“I think he has a very nice personality, he is very family-orientated and he is fond of his roots,” she added.
