As part of RTE’s new season of programming, Marty Morrissey has announced a brand new project.
Yes, the broadcaster recently released its new season of programming, which included over 30 hours of brand-new Irish drama alongside a wide range of documentaries and real-life stories.
Taking to Instagram to share the news Marty wrote: “Delighted & excited about our new TV Show as Historian Liz Gillis & myself come together to present Marty’s Big Picture Show.
This six-part series will follow Marty and Liz as they attempt to track down faces captured in the lenses of some of Ireland’s best-known photographers.

The first episode, which airs this Sunday, 3rd September, will explore Limerick in the 1970s as pictured through the great work of photographer Gerry Andrews.
“Hope you will join us and enjoy the programme,” Marty added before he concluded his post.
Fans and friends alike were quick to share their excitement of the news with Anna Daly commenting: “Brilliant Marty.”
“Great news!!!” penned one follower.
While another wrote: “Amazing!”
Marty’s Big Picture Show is just one of many new series’, audiences can expect to see on RTE this Autumn.
While, favourites such as Ireland’s Fittest Family, Dancing with the Stars and The Tommy Tiernan Show are all set to return.
