Ryan Tubridy announced that he would be taking a few days off his radio show this week.
While he has teased some major projects in the works, he will be enjoying some time off air.
But worry not because his dulcet tones will be replaced with someone as equally brilliant.
Ireland AM’s Martin King will be filling in for Ryan on Q102 this week.
Speaking during the show on Tuesday morning, Martin said: “Good morning, it’s Martin King with you sitting in for Ryan Tubridy for the week.
“He’ll be back on your radios next Monday looking after things once more. But until then, you’ve got me. We’re here for the next few hours with plenty of feel-good music to see you through your morning and at least we’ve got sunshine today.”
Of course, Martin is well used to the Q102 studio as he previously hosted Ryan’s new slot as well as hosting a Sunday show each weekend.
Ryan’s show is aired in Ireland and across the pond in the UK. So while we’ll be listening to Martin, he won’t be broadcast over in the UK.
Instead, Keith Lemon has taken the reins of the week.
However, it looks like Ryan won’t be away for too long as he hinted at a project launching this week.
“I am taking a few days off so I just wanted to let you know to keep an eye on all things Instagram next week, towards the end of the week to be precise,” he said on social media.
“I’ve got some big news coming, podcast-wise. So until then, mind yourself, have a few days off and I’ll talk to you next Thursday-Friday.”
