Country star Lisa McHugh recently returned to the stage after taking her maternity leave, making her grand comeback at the Farmer’s Bash in Belfast back in April. While the crowd was thrilled and Lisa gave an amazing performance, the Glasgow girl admitted it was “daunting” to return to showbiz after welcoming baby Milo.
She confessed on Instagram; “It was definitely daunting trying to feel as comfortable and prepared as I normally would was something that wasn’t exactly there in bucket loads.”
“However, as soon as I stepped out on that stage every single one of those little concerns instantly disappeared. I think it’s probably one of my most enjoyable performances to date”
Sharing that while she was nervous to return, she also had reason to be excited as it meant seeing the fans again. Saying; “I missed it so much and I missed you”
After opening up about returning to work as a mum, she revealed what motherhood was like. Gushing it was; “the best thing ever”
“Every single day just gets better, never knew you could love someone and something so small, so much. We’re so lucky.”
Despite having only returned to work, Lisa is already all go, and even has some new projects in the works. As she told her followers; “we have lots of exciting things happening Soon… some a lot sooner than others Have some news for you tomorrow.”
Lisa and her fiancé Nathan welcomed Milo to the world back in January of this year. Taking to Instagram at the time she shared a gorgeous black and white close up of the little one’s tiny hands.
Captioning the snap; “He’s finally here and he’s everything.”
While later that week she confirmed his name, writing alongside a photo of the newborn; “The love of my life… Milo.”
