Liam Cunningham has huge roles under his belt, from Game of Thrones to The Wind that Shakes the Barley.
He really has a stellar career.
His most recent role in 3 Body Problem which hit number one on Netflix earlier this year, has received serious body.
“I am hoping to hear about a second season for 3 Body Problem, that’s number one in the world,” he tells VIP Magazine on the red carpet at the IFTA Awards this week.
However, there is one role that he thinks is the “best thing” he has done.
Can you guess?
Well, it’s A Little Princess!
“I made that one for my daughter. It was wonderful,” he tells us.
“I’m still really proud of it, it’s one of the best things that I’ve ever done. It’s a kids’ movie, but it isn’t a kids’ movie at all.
“I genuinely thought it was a feminist movie when I was doing it. In all the right fashion, it was about a girl’s self-esteem and self-worth. And that’s why I made it for my daughter.”
And he’s clearly very proud of Irish cinema altogether as he goes on to tell us: “Colin [Farrell] said earlier this week that we’re punching above our weight and I agree with him. We have so much talent, including the Best Actor. It’s a celebration of a hard year’s work.”
In just a handful of weeks, he is heading to Jordan to work on his next movie. Then after that?
“I am going to take my motorbike out and do some touring.”
As he deserves!
