Laura Fox has reflected on this season of Ireland’s Fittest Family.
Speaking about the “magic” of the final, Laura shared her delight over the Cummins family from Kilkenny winning the series.
She also paid tribute to 15-year-old Cillian Flaherty who tragically passed away after filming this season.
“The loss of Cillian Flaherty was felt by every single person he met last summer filming,” she wrote.

“Getting to watch the Flaherty family on screen for the last few weeks was such a testament to them as a family, @paul23flaherty @paulafitness94 @kianflats_dj you could see how much you all adored Cillian and how much he adored you.”
Reflecting on the last season, she wrote: “There we have it, working and meeting the best of the best over and done with for another year.
“A huge congratulations to The Cummins Family and Davy on winning @irelandsfittestfamily 2024. Well done to The O’Connells, The Ferns and The Magners on making the final, it was magic.”
She continued: “Special mention to Bill and Kaitlyn during our first head to head on back against the wall, your facial expressions were so funny and to Jaime Ferns, the 14 yo superstar singing Bonnie Tyler on top of sole survivor and then calling out @paultheref as a yellow dot, I cried laughing.

“Styling is @roxanne_parker and the pants are @manieredevoir but sold out (we got the last pair) top is SLA the label and jacket is Roxanne’s herself! So I’m not good to anyone.”
She added: “I’ll never be over the fact that I get to do this gig. The crew are just absolutely unreal from catering, cameras, sound ops, drones, runners, producers, execs- it’s a well oiled machine that lets us have the craic and get the job done.
“The people that sign up are next level but they all say the same thing, ‘I’m so happy I get to share this memory with my family’.”
She concluded by writing: “The loss of Cillian Flaherty was felt by every single person he met last summer filming. Getting to watch the Flaherty family on screen for the last few weeks was such a testament to them as a family, @paul23flaherty @paulafitness94 @kianflats_dj you could see how much you all adored Cillian and how much he adored you.
“Thanks for reading my essay, I could go on all day but I’ll leave it here xx”
What a beautiful sentiment.
