Irish boxer, Kellie Harrington is going for gold at the Tokyo Olympics after her semi-final win yesterday against Mira Marjut Johanna Portkonen from Finland.
In her upcoming boxing match, Kellie will take on world titlist Beatriz Ferreira in the hopes of a gold medal at the 2021 games.
If Kellie beats Beatriz Ferreria in the 60kg decider, she will become Ireland’s third ever Olympic boxing champion.
Tuesday’s fight saw Kellie win her quarter final against Imane Khelif, from Algeria and just last Friday she also dominated the fight against Rebecca Nicoli from Italy.
Kellie has made it through to Sunday’s final which will air at 6am Irish time, the very last day of the games. She will also be the 8th Irish contestant to make it through to the finals, following fellow female boxer and legend Katie Taylor.
