Kathryn Thomas has shared an insight into what it’s like juggling motherhood and a busy presenting career. The RTE star welcomed her second child into the world in October of last year.

At the moment Kathryn is working on Operation Transformation, which she has been the host of since 2011, and shared with her followers that it involves quite a bit of multi-tasking! The 43-year-old shared a snap to her Instagram stories of her recording voiceovers for the show in her wardrobe, whilst breast feeding her little one. Women really can do it all!

Captioning the post she said; “The life of a working Mum…recording voice over in my wardrobe while breastfeeding!”

“Team work makes the dream work,” she added.

Kathryn and her husband, Pádraig welcomed their second child into the world last year, revealing the news to social media at the time they said; “Welcome to the world little angel. Our gorgeous girl, Grace Anne McLoughlin was born safely on Tues 26th @ 11.35am weighing 8lbs 3oz.”

Kathryn has opened up in the past about their difficulty when conceiving Ellie. Speaking previously on Doireann Garrihy’s The Laughs Of Your Life podcast she said; “I’ve talked a lot about this at this point, that myself and Pádraig, we struggled a lot to bring Ellie into the world and it was quite a long journey.”

Speaking about this with VIP Magazine she shared; “For us to have this opportunity to have a second child we do not take that lightly at all.”

Late last year Kathryn spoke about returning to work as Operation Transformation began filming in December. Taking to her Instagram Stories at the time to share the news, Kathryn shared that comfy clothes were the key to getting her back to work! Speaking about a pair of super comfortable leggings, Kathryn also added: “I’m going back to work on Friday with Operation Transformation so I was like, they are what I need!”

Continuing, she shared: “I went for a walk with the dogs earlier, first time without the buggy. It was the first time I actually was able to pick up the pace and power walk comfortably going up and down the river and it felt good because it was a reminder that eventually you do come back to yourself, however long it takes.”

“I felt stronger than I have done before. I’m still wrecked and still nowhere near 100% back to myself and I know it’s going to take time. You’re still in recovery and survival mode with the lack of sleep. So it’s the little wins like the walks and getting out every day.”

Before adding: “Why am I saying all this? I think it’s just to remind myself, and if you’ve just had a new baby and you are struggling a little bit, it’s totally normal and it’s going to take a while to feel like yourself again. That’s okay, that’s perfectly normal, go easy on yourself.”
