Tv presenter Kathyrn Thomas has revealed that while she’s in no hurry to walk down the aisle, she would love to have children.
The 36-year-old has been dating restaurateur Padraig McLaughlin for nearly two years and the loved-up pair are planning a family together, Kathryn has admitted.
The Voice of Ireland presenter opened up about how she never desired to tie the knot, but the couple have discussed having kids.
“It’s funny – I’ve never been the girl that dreams of the big white dress, but I’d never say never,” she told Irish Tatler.
“I’m really happy. And I’d love to have kids, we would love to have kids, if we’re blessed, if we are lucky..It has to feel right, it has to be the right time and there’s a lot to consider when you’re thinking about a family. At the same time, we’re in a great place”.
The RTE star added that with this happiness, comes a much greater acceptance of yourself, and she’s thrilled to have escaped the insecurities she had when she was younger.
“I don’t give as much of a sh*t basically,” she commented. “When you’re happy, I think you become more accepting of yourself, you don’t give yourself as much of a hard time as you did, say, in your twenties when you were more insecure.
“I look back now and go, God, I used to give that so much thought and energy, when I didn’t need to”.
The Operation Transformation host has been keeping up with a healthy lifestyle off-screen at the moment and is busy with Pure Results Bootcamp, a fitness and wellness retreat in west Cork.
