Amy Huberman has returned home from holidays with her husband Brian O’Driscoll and their three children.

Coming down from that holiday buzz can be tough for us all, but even more so for Amy who confessed that she was overcome with emotions as she misses her father intensely.

She explained on social media, “Holiday over, suspended reality over, got in the sea loads, swam with stingray, (screamed a lot), hung with my crew, really really valiantly tried to match my cocktails to my glasses, missed my Dad, sat in the sand. Le fin.”

Amy’s father, Harold passed away in May after living with Parkinson’s disease for several years.

It was her on-screen mother-in-law who shared some words of wisdom with the Irish actress. Jane Seymour, who formed a strong bond with Amy during her time in Ireland filming Harry Wild, was among the first to comment.

“Stay strong as I know you are its so hard to lose a parent Cant wait to see you all soon Here and there,” she wrote simply.

Jane was far from the only person to extend their sympathies to Amy with Georgie Crawford telling her, “Sending love Amy x.”

While makeup artist Christine Lucignano commented, “I’m virtual squeezing you my little smudge.”

A handful of weeks ago, Amy shared a tribute to her father to mark a month since his tragic passing just days after celebrating his 84th birthday.

Posting a piece she wrote for The Irish Independent she wrote, “He has lived with Parkinson’s for the last 6 years which has come with a barrage of limiting challenges. He has always loved art and expressing his creativity and I admire his courage and willing to still paint, despite the shake in his hand, despite the fact that he can no longer write, despite everything else. I am lucky to know him. I am lucky to call him Dad.”
