Jamie Heaslip has opened up about becoming a dad in the very near future.
The retired rugby star announced the news of wife Sheena’s pregnancy in February, and the pair are now counting down the days until their son or daughter arrives.
“I’m looking forward to the next chapter in my family’s life,” he told VIP Magazine.
The 34-year-old isn’t too worried about impending fatherhood and hopes everything will fall into place naturally.
Despite this, first-time dad has been reading baby books and catching up with friends and fellow parents in the run up to the birth, absorbing all the information he can.
“The more recommendations the better,” he says with a smile.
Jamie added, “I’ve no idea [what kind of father I’ll be.] Hopefully a good one… it’s not like I’ve done this before.”
