Majella O’Donnell has opened up about a heartwarming moment from her daughter’s wedding earlier this year.

Siobhan married her long term love Gavin during an intimate ceremony surrounded by family and friends in Soto Grande in Cadiz, Spain this summer.

Reminiscing about the big day, Majella revealed a touching moment between Daniel and her ex-husband Raymond, as they decided to walk their daughter Siobhan down the aisle together.

During an exclusive interview with VIP Magazine, Majella said, “The day was beautiful, the location was beautiful and the vows were just gorgeous.

“I got very emotional when I saw Siobhan coming down the aisle with my ex husband Raymond, who walked her halfway down the aisle, and then Daniel came down to meet them and the three of them walked the rest of the way down together. It was very emotional.”

Daniel added, “And it was all Ray’s idea. It was nice of him, because after all, he is her father even though I have been involved in Siobhan’s life for a long time. I felt really touched by that act.”

The couple have revealed how they keep the spark alive in their relationship after 14 years of marriage – and it seems absence, certainly makes the heart grow fonder.

Majella admits, “We have great fun together, but yes, I like to do my own thing too. Daniel has been on tour for the last two weeks and I look forward to seeing him now when I do. I would recommend this way of life for every woman!

“I cannot imagine someone coming home every evening for dinner, oh God no! This life suits me fine now.”

Daniel whole-heartedly agrees, and added, “I think that sits us perfectly, because when I am home, we can be together 24/7 if we want to be, and often we are. When we were away together on the cruise for four, we got on like a house on fire.”
