It seems that Niall Horan leaving his boyband days well and truly behind him, as it’s been announced that he will be the new Ryder Cup ambassador.

Since One Direction took their hiatus earlier this year, Niall been making the most of his break, travelling around the world and getting involved with golf in a number of ways.

The Mullingar native set up his own Horan and Rose golfing event to raise funds for Cancer Research UK Teens and Kids, and also set up his own management agency – clearly a man of many talents.

Professional golfer, Darren Clarke, took to social media to reveal the news that 22-year-old Niall would be getting on board with the prestigious golf competition.

Writing on Twitter he said, “Delighted to welcome my friend @nialloffical to Team Europe as one of our ambassadors for the 2016 Ryder Cup.”

We’re very happy for Niall and his new career venture!
