It was reported last month that Conor McGregor was to be stripped of his featherweight title due to a reshuffle on the December 10th fight card, ending his time as the first fighter to hold two belts simultaneously.
Despite these reports however, Conor isn’t giving up his belts anytime soon. At a Q&A in Belfast last week the Notorious said that he’s still the champ and refuses to be stripped of his titles.
“I also have something going on with the UFC, they’re trying to strip me and I was like, ‘Well, I ain’t stripped. I still got that belt, that belt is still at home right now.’ I’m still the two-way world champion, someone has to come take that from me,” he said.
Now the Crumlin native has confirmed this by sharing a video of himself holding his prized possessions. On Instagram he posted the vid, which shows him getting on a private plane with the belts in tow.
He certainly won’t be letting these go without a fight!
