Irish TV star Craig Doyle joined Holly Willoughby today and will be back tomorrow to co-host Britain’s favourite tv show, This Morning, as ITV bosses work to find a permanent replacement for Philip Schofield.
Josie Gibson took the reins for Monday and Tuesday morning’s shows, but it seems there may be a chance Craig could be taking the full time gig on.
It wouldn’t be the Dubliners first time taking to ITV’s screens as he actually guest hosted during school and summer holiday’s over a number of years.
Taking to his Instagram the Irish presenter said: “Delighted to join the wonderful Holly on the sofa later this week.”
He continued on saying: “The show has been a joy to work on with one of the hardest working and talented teams I know. See you Wednesday.”

While it is still unclear who the permanent replacement will be, Craig is understood to be a firm favourite having hosted last week and again two days this week.
The Stillorgan man started his career in a local radio station with the BBC after graduating with a diploma in Broadcast Journalism in London, before continuing on to ITV where he hosted a children’s show on ITV called Disney Club.
He was a key member of the BBC Sports coverage team since early 2004 and has been presenting rugby union coverage on BT Sports since 2013.
He settled into the This Morning slot quite easily due to having been a regular from as far back as November 2021.
We look forward to seeing what the future holds for Craig Doyle!
