Irish model and socialite Lisa Murphy has sadly passed away at the age of 51.
She was diagnosed with cancer some years ago.
She had been living with her family in Ballinteer Co. Dublin.
Lisa is best known for her modelling as well as her appearance on TV3 reality series, Dublin Housewives in 2012 and 2013.
She had high-profile relationships with Michael Flatley and solicitor Gerald Kean.
Gerald confirmed the sad news to The Irish Sun saying: “I am absolutely heartbroken and devastated at the news. She was a wonderful woman and we shared many great times together.
“My thoughts are with her family and loved-ones.”
Lisa first came to prominence in the nineties due to her relationship with Michael Flatley. The couple ended up parting ways in 2006.
The model found love again with solicitor Gerald, they had an on-again-off-again relationship for a decade. However, they officially parted ways in 2016.
“I don’t have any bad feelings about any of my relationships,” she told VIP Magazine in 2016.
“They were important times in my life, great experiences and I don’t do regrets. I believe everything happens for a reason and people are brought together for a reason. I don’t look back negatively on any of my boyfriends. To be honest, I’m a very private person and I’m always in good form. I don’t do negativity.”
Rest in peace, Lisa.
