Former Game of Thrones star Jack Gleeson has made a slightly awkward revelation about the relationship he now has with his co-stars.
The Irish actor, who played evil King Joffrey Baratheon in the HBO series, said that since being killed off from the show at the end of season 4 he hasn’t been able to reach his cast mates, despite wanting to.
Speaking in an interview with IrishTV the Cork native said, “It’s weird. It’s like they changed their numbers or something. It would be nice to see them.”
Since leaving the award-winning fantasy drama Jack has set up his own theatre company, and has been doing some stage acting in New York.
He expressed his frustration at acting in Game of Thrones, saying that his enjoyment of the craft comes from more than just the scenes for him.
“Obviously I am acting, but the enjoyment for me comes from so much more than the acting.
“It comes from the collaboration and the camaraderie and just being part of something that you feel less of a cog in a big wheel.
“I’m not a good enough actor to actually engage emotionally with the characters so I very much turn up and learn the lines and try and do a good job,” he said.
