Irish Entrepreneurs to feature in new season of The Apprentice

Two Irish entrepreneurs are set to feature in the new series of BBC One’s The Apprentice.

The new season will return to our screens on Thursday 30 January at 9:00pm and will feature Hair & beauty salon owner Aoibheann Walsh from Co Donegal, alongside animation entrepreneur Jordan Dargan from Dublin.

Yes, both Aoibheen and Jordan will be trying their best, along with 16 other candidates to impress Alan Sugar and win his £250,000 investment and mentorship for their business ventures.

According to the BBC, Aoibheann wants to “show what true hard work and determination can achieve,” as she looks for investment in a premium utility product for the beauty industry.

So, what exactly is her business plan?

“I have designed a unique patented utility belt specifically for hairdressers, makeup artists, and costume designers on the go,” she explained.

“In my experience within the beauty and hair industry, I noticed a significant problem: the tools that artists typically wear are often not functional, ergonomic, or aesthetically appealing, nor was there any focus on hygiene.

“This realisation drove me to create a tool belt that is not only ergonomic but also enhances the entire creative process.”

Meanwhile, the series the series’ youngest contestant Jordan, “wants to show the youth out there the creative power at their fingertips through his 3D animation business”.

Speaking about his business plan he noted: “My business plan is to develop a user-friendly online platform that connects patients with the most reputable hair transplant clinics worldwide.

“The platform will solve the challenge of navigating a crowded market, where many clinics claim to be the best, by providing a trusted, easy-to-use resource for comparing clinics, accessing expert advice, and making well-informed decisions about hair restoration.”

We can’t wait to see how they both get on!
