Irish celebs like Laura Whitmore and Roz Purcell auction off some of their wardrobe for charity

Some famous Irish faces are auctioning off some of their wardrobes today in a bid to raise money for mental health charities in the UK and Ireland. The initiative will see the likes of Roz Purcell, Una Healy and Laura Whitmore selling some of their favourite pieces and it launches today!

ShareJoy was founded by Longford native and former Vogue digital director, Anne-Marie Tomchak. By using the power of social media and her love of fashion, the idea is to use this to raise funds for vital mental health charities across the UK and Ireland.

Founded last year when the pandemic hit, the aim is; “to ensure that young people and their families get the support and resources needed to navigate the social and economic consequences that the pandemic is having on youth mental health.”

“Millions of euro worth of clothing is sitting dormant in our wardrobes. ShareJoy wants to leverage the power of pre-loved fashion in the circular economy to raise funds.”

Love Island presenter, Laura Whitmore is donating a metallic bomber from Irish designer, Joanne Hynes and a monochrome clutch bag by Lulu Guinness.

Saturday’s singer, Una Healy is selling a beautiful navy Burberry coat with leather details; “I bought this coat as a treat back in 2011. I wore it when I was pregnant with my first child Aoife Belle and I recently wore it for an Irish Women In Harmony video.”

“It is something I genuinely love and I hope it will bring joy to someone else.”
