Irish actor Jack Hickey, formerly known for his roles on Game of Thrones and Penny Dreadful, has joined the cast of popular tv soap, Emmerdale.
Jack will play the ex-boyfriend of established character Carly Hope, and some of his upcoming scenes are set to be very emotional.
“The storyline is a heartbreaking one,” he told the Irish Daily Star. “Matt is a grieving dad, and he and Carly have a complicated and dark history.
“And it’s safe to say he comes back to confront her on several levels.”
The Dubliner couldn’t wait for his first scenes to air last night, and took to Twitter to share his joy.
“Delighted to be joining the cast of Emmerdale,” he gushed. “Very excited to get started.”
