Internet sensations Kabin Krew in the running for Grammy glory

It’s safe to say there was only one song of the summer.

And it had nothing to do with Charli xcx or Sabrina Carpenter.

Kabin Krew stole the limelight this year with their catchy track The Spark.

It went viral in Ireland and internationally, with the lyrics, “Think you can stop what I do? I doubt it,” becoming a TikTok staple. In fact it has half a billion, yes billion, streams on the video sharing app.

Now it looks like they could be heading to the red carpet, as they have been long listed for a Grammy award.

Nothing to be sniffed at!

The Spark is up for consideration for the Best Dance/Electric Recording category.

The song was recorded by children in the Kabin Crew in North Cork and the Lisdoonvarna Crew in Clare.

And it has seen them perform at events like Electric Picnic and All Together Now here in Ireland. And they went international with an appearance at PukklePop in Belgium.

Seriously how cool!
