Imelda May has been bitten by the acting bug!
In recent years, Imelda has been taking to the stage in Mother Of All the Behans.
But now she will be on the big screen in an upcoming film.
She is set to appear in The People Before, a thriller based on the Charlotte Northedge.
The story follows Jess and her husband who move to an old house in the Suffolk countryside in search of a fresh start.
However, they quickly learn that the house holds a secret, which many of the rather unwelcoming locals already know about. As things get stranger and stranger Jess realises that she has made a massive mistake.
Imelda will play the role of Eve in the flick.
Imelda shared some promotional images on Instagram and wrote: “Excited to tell you at last!!!! I’m in another movie… ‘The People Before’.

“A thrilling thriller that will have its first screening on 10th July (my birthday:) at the prestigious Oscar qualifying festival The Galway Film Fleadh. I had the best time making this with the best cast.”
She went on to say: “It really was the best experience I’ll never forget. Wait until you meet Eve……”
Yes, the film will premiere on Imelda May’s 50th birthday which will make the milestone even more memorable for the singer.
