Imelda May has shared a hilarious story from her experience at the Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather fight in Las Vegas last month.
The Dublin woman was called up last minute to perform Amhrán Na bhFiann at the huge event, and gave us a stunning rendition of the National Anthem.
The 43-year-old has now revealed that after she performed, she took a ringside seat to watch the fight and cheer in fellow Irish person Conor McGregor, and she was sitting next to a VERY famous actor.
“I was screaming like a mad woman I was,” she told Ray D’arcy on RTE radio.
“Leonardo DiCaprio was beside me and I think he thought I was just some mental woman. I was really going for it. I was screaming, I was shouting, I was calling Mayweather every name under the sun,” she revealed.
She went on to say admit she suffered badly from nerves on her flight to Sin City.
“I was nervous that I’d get it wrong. That was my main thing, I thought ‘I don’t want to get it wrong because I’ll be hung drawn and quartered’. So I sat like a madwoman – I looked like the most patriotic flyer ever. I sat on the plane singing our national anthem, Amhrán Na bhFiann, for eleven hours straight,” she said.
“They must have thought I was a nutcase.”
You did amazing Imelda!
